A Leafy Exploration

You've already seen the obligatory Wordless Wednesday post with Bo playing in the leaves. But this week, we went leaf peeping again, and well, sometimes pictures just need words to accompany them. :)

On Wednesday, Mike went to work and Bo and I were left to explore Champaign on our own. Bo wasn't thrilled with spending the entire day in the hotel room so we ventured out. We went to Target for about 2 hours. I ended up buying trail mix. (Yes, two hours in Target and all I bought is trail mix. That trip is what really spurred my gift card post!)

After Bo's morning nap, the weather was beautiful so we decided to go exploring. Surely there was something nearby for us to do. Being the smart woman that I am, I threw the camera in the bottom of the stroller and off we went. Luckily, just a few blocks away there was a quaint little park. We walked around, Bo played in the leaves, and eventually Bo convinced me to push him in the swing. (It took a lot of convincing...)
I just love this picture. I can hear Bo's unique giggle just by looking at his face. Pure joy!

The only downside was the weather was a bit blustery. Reminded me of Winnie the Pooh. :)
The leaves were beautiful and at the peak of their color. I was reminded, for about the millionth time this fall, how much I love fall and why it is my favorite season.
Okay, I promise no more leaf pictures this year. But just wait until next year! Pictures of Bo running through the leaves! :)

Jamie, Great pics! I'm envious of the leaves up there. Texas only gets of twinge of color or everything stays green. But I love fall anyway. It's my favorite, too.
