1. Flexible Hours - I like that the hours are flexible enough that I can work when I have someone to be with Bo or when Bo is sleeping. Granted, some days I work pretty strange hours, but it is definitely a perk.
2. No "work" clothes - While I'm not staying in my pajamas all day -- I just wear jeans and t-shirts. It's a lot cheaper and easier then "work" clothes.
3. Breaks - Break time comes when I want a break. A break can include a blog post (hence, this post), a snack, a bathroom break, folding a load of laundry, unloading the dishwasher, etc. I definitely wasn't going to run home and fold a load of laundry during passing periods at the high school!
4. No in-person communication - There are some days where you just don't want to see anyone. I don't exactly have that luxury but it is nice to know that the boss isn't going to show up in my office while I'm in the midst of a crying jag. I can cry all I want at my desk in the kitchen, all on my own. :)
5. Money - It's a paying job that keeps my foot in the door so that I will be able to re-enter the teaching profession full-time when Bo (and any future children) are in school. It also brings in enough money that I don't feel like I've sold my soul to the devil and am still a contributor to my families' finances.
