Quiet Time

I know I've been quiet the last several days. I'm working on a site redesign and the few minutes per day that I typically use to write I've been working on the design. I can't wait until it is finished so I can unveil it for all of you!


We've also been busy with normal life stuff -- Christmas cards, Christmas wrapping, grocery shopping, birthday parties, hunting for stocking stuffers, dishes, laundry, you know how it can be sometimes. There just aren't enough hours in the day.

Mike is home from work and school was canceled due to the ice that covered the roads this morning. They are calling for more tonight so Mike and I will be heading north together this evening so that Mike can go to work and I can go to see the RE in the morning. Bo will be enjoying his first overnight with Grammie. He is quite excited. :)

I had originally planned to just drive up with Mike tomorrow morning, but we are going up tonight to make sure we can actually get there tomorrow. I'm actually looking forward to it though -- Mike and I will get to go out to dinner and tomorrow I will have the entire day in Champaign to amuse myself. I plan to find a nice cozy place with free Wi-Fi and catch up on my "real" work and hopefully on some blog work as well. It's the small pleasures -- like uninterrupted work time -- that remind me that I'm way too old. :)

As we were leaving my cousin's house last night it was dicussed that Bo was staying with Grammie and my cousin made a joke about Mike and I getting busy trying for #2. My response -- "well actually, I do have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday morning." I don't think that was quite the "gettin' busy" he was talking about with Mike and I having an evening alone, huh? :)
