Read Kiddo Read

There is no doubt that I'm an advocate of reading. I love to read and I love to read to Bo. Reading is an activity we do together every day and he already loves books. And he loves reading them over and over and over again... (I'm very tired of Where To, Little Wombat? and Whose Nose and Toes? but I keep reading them anyway.)

I actually started my original blog as a result of a book. Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. After I read this book I knew that I had to find some way to record my thoughts and feelings in case something ever happens to me. I hope that if I die tomorrow, when Bo is older he'll be able to see a piece of who I am and how much I love him through my writing.

James Patterson is starting his own movement to encourage kids to read at Read Kiddo Read. I was contacted about this site by Mother Talk and I've found it to be a great resource for parents and teachers to help find books that are age appropriate and narrow searches to find books that your child will actually want to read.

As a teacher and a mother, I can't think of a better way to help your child achieve success than fostering a love for reading.
