Interviews

KateyPie is running the interview game and I decided to participate. Pop over to her blog and say hi -- she calls her son Boo-Boo and has experienced ectopics and IVF. :)

1. What is the most important thing you would like to accomplish in 2009?

This is a difficult one -- I'd say it's a cross between finishing IVF and moving. Both are important milestones in our lives that I hope to see happen this year.

2. What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2008?

Having my BIL and SIL read my old blog. I am willing to write about anything, but that blog wasn't intended for family consumption.

3. What did you think about your husband the very first time you met him?

Hehe. Mike and I were just talking about this yesterday (He called Bo a monkey yesterday and made me think of this...). I saw my husband for the first time over a year before we became friends and started dating. The strangest part was, there was something about him that made me take notice and I actually remember the first time I saw him, the first time I talked to him, etc. I think I must have known that there was something special about this one.

That said, the first time I saw him, I thought he kind of looked like a monkey. :) Not in a bad way -- just the way he was walking and so forth. He was wearing a yellow tee, shorts, and was carrying his backpack over both shoulders and holding the straps awkwardly. He marched across the front of the classroom and sat with a gaggle of history girls in the back. I was in my normal seat up front, close to the door for quick bathroom exits.

We never talked in that class. But for some reason, he stood out to me. And he says he remembers me too... ;)

4. If you could have dinner with anyone from history (dead or alive) - who would it be, and why?

Nancy Reagan. Her book, My Turn, is one of my favorite books of all time. I love the personal tidbits and the glamour that she associated with the office of the First Lady. I'd love to ask her what her thoughts are about the W. Bush administration and how she feels about Barack Obama. :)

5. If you were stranded on a desert island, and could only eat ONE fruit, and ONE vegetable for the rest of your life -which would you choose...and why?

The fruit would have to be bananas. Those are always my "go-to" fruit because they are always available, highly portable, filling, and taste good. It's more difficult to choose one vegetable -- it's a toss up between green beans and carrots. Ultimately, I would choose carrots, but I know my skin would turn pretty orange.

Now, wasn't that fun? Do you know a little more about me? Want to be part of it?

Follow these instructions:1. Leave me a comment saying “interview me”
2. I will respond my emailing you five questions. I get to pick the questions. Make sure I have access to your e-mail, or I will just leave a comment with the questions.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to your questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others ask to be interviewed, you will give them 5 questions.
