I drop by our local outlet mall once a month to see what sales are happening at Stride Right. If the shoes I want are around $10 then I stock up in multiple sizes.

Thanks for sharing your favorite shopping places. I had never heard of Crazy 8. I went to their website and noticed that they have some adorable clothes priced about the same as Old Navy. I also noticed that Evansville just put in a store at the mall. I can't wait to go shopping there.

I dressed Zoey in dresses very often until she started crawling. At that stage the dresses were an impediment. It was even worse when she started walking, unless the dress was sufficiently short. Everyone else bought her dresses, so I found myself putting dresses on her just to take a few photographs -- and then the dress was never worn again.

Now that she has better control over her body I will put her in a dress more often.

When she goes to "school" she strictly wears play clothes. She gets filthy dirty because they go outside to play for a few hours a day and Zoey always seems to find the mud. For these clothes I buy Target sale items and there is a consignment store near my dad's house that carries quite a bit of cute, quality stuff.

Target and Carter's are my two places because it's easier to find funkier clothes (I hate the stuff that says diva or princess or looks like an older child's trendy type clothes).

I don't buy her high-end pieces. Her grandfathers like to do that, and my dad's wife is constantly giving us frilly, lacy things.

eBay is a great place to shop for baby and kids clothes. A lot of secondhand stores shop there and then jack up their prices to make a profit.

Carter's and LandsEnd are my favorites for under 6 months.

After that Baby Gap (although only on sale), Crazy 8's, Gymboree, and Children's Place. I also really like Kohl's and Target. I rarely pay full price for anything, but if I do it came from Target or Kohl's.

For shoes I love Riley Roos and Vincent. LG has only had 3 pairs of shoes so I guess I've been pretty lucky.

PS: I saw more Halloween sleepers this week at Target and Kohl's. I think you'll find something for the girls. Kohl's also has some for Thanksgiving.

Just a suggestion on the dresses; don't buy too many at an age where they may start crawling, pulling up, and walking. The dresses can get in their way and annoy them when they can't crawl because their dress is under them, same with pulling up, and walking.

Target also has a lot of cute clothes that are affordable.

I really try and do used for the most part. I also like Crazy 8 and Old Navy. I'm in the process of getting new shoes for my 2 year old daughter but really don't want to spend 30 bucks on shoes. Looking for used right now.
